    Glad to have found this forum as I begin my search for a 70-72 Maverick. I've owned 3, many years ago and now I want one again.
    I think this community seems to be a great resource.

    Wow,

    Thanks for the warm welcome! I am from Delta, BC Canada, which is a suburb of Vancouver, BC Canada. I was looking at that Grabber in Victoria, but it is in pretty rough shape (lots and lots and lots of welding) and to start with a car in such rough shape and already be out several thousand dollars seems a bit crazy when I see so many other mavs for sale in the states that are already pretty clean for less money. Maybe I'll have to consider an american purchase to drive home.

    I lost control at 120 kmh on a slightly icy crest of a hill and hit a telephone pole after 3 rotations at about 80 kmh. I broke the seat back, flying backwards, bounced off the rear seat and then hit the steering wheel with my face about 1/2 an inch from my main artery. Almost died. That photo was taken 2 days later at the impound lot. I loved that car so much.
