Nice start for an engine. To top off the motor, you will need a 50oz imbalance 157 tooth flewplate, about $40 from ebay.

you will need motor mounts and belly bar to mount the 5.0 into a 6-cyl car. The C4 trans may need a different bellhousing, but I am not sure on that one. It might bolt right up.

I am running a similar setup with a torker289 single-plane intake and getting good results out of it, with a 750 Holley HP double pumper carb. But mine is built to spin high and run hard. A decent edelbrock dual plane intake, even a performer or performer rpm should do you fine, with at 600 cfm edelbrock or holley carb (I would go for edelbrock for starters).

You should be able to pull around 275-300 HP at the crank with that setup.

i had a guy look at the motor and he told me it will not fit because of the flywheels were different and it has a one piece rear main instead of a two piece and the oil pans need to be changed to a front sump instead of a rear.....but from what i see on here everything looks like a go on it....but everything should work fine then i dont wanna dump a ton of money into it and find out it doesnt work on that tranny

Not too much. The hardest part will probably be locating the V8 engine mounts. The rest should be easy to obtain.

P heads work fine, until you add headers. They make some headers that go up and over the plugs, but they cost big bucks.

If he uses the stock manifolds, he will be fine.

That is stock from the MAVERICK, NOT from the Explorer.

So, Justin, good call on another part he may need. (y)

You will also need a transmission crossmember for the v8 cars, with provisions for dual exhaust.
