    Hello,
I'm excited to be a member of the forum. Ive owned two 71 comets and regret the day I got rid of them. Both were street/strip type vehicles. One ran
mid 12"s with a 289 and the other had a 377 and ran mid 11's.
I'm currently looking for a good body to put a 393 in that I'm bulding .
    Its a 12.5 to 1 engine with trickflow-r heads . I have a couple of concerns I'm
hoping you guys can give me some insight on.

    Thanks, Howard :bananaman

I grad"e"ated down in Va Beach, not to far away and my daughter just moved out of Chesapeake. Did you say something wrong? Anyway, I used to race at Creeds and Suffolk raceways back in the early 70's. I know Creeds is long gone but is Suffolk still there?

I used to race a Maverick at Creeds...Brewed in Blue was the name on the car. Good place to race. Too bad it is gone.

I used to race at creeds and suffolk years ago. Those were the days!

It looks like the closest track to me now is northeast dragway which is about

45 minutes away and is only 1/8 . To run 1/4 mile I would have to go to VMP which is about 1.5 hours away

an hour and a half is a bit of a drive, but i've driven far farther then that 3 hours, up a windy hill, my friends have driven to national events that were 10 - 12 hours away.... If you love racing you'll drive anywhere
