I will be helping my son install one in his 64 Falcon sprint .

He pick up one for 250.00 with less than 40k on its from a 2000 mustang v6 car .

With all the research he has done will be a good strong trans for his app mild 5.0 with a 8.8 and 3.73 gear

Should be a FUN to due .

i have one of these on my 4r70w, it works awesome.

    lokar for the shift linkage..

for the dipstick tube, i took the one that came in the mercury mountianeer and cut it down to the right height to fit my application and created a new button top on the lathe.

you need a tps sensor to use the transmission. if your running a carb you will have to figure it out.
if you have efi you can tap into the signal out on the existing tps. that is what i did.

you will want to figure out what speedo gear you will need. i put an aod rear tail housing on to accept a machanical speedo gear.

    hope this helps
