No Power to ignition

    My 72 maverick sat for about 6 months, put new battery in it to start it, no power to ignition, dome light works and exterior lights work, checked all the fuses anybody know what this could be

    give a few more details-will the engine spin -as in crank--if so- do you have a 12V test light to check a few things ?

    Is your car an automatic trans? If it is try turning the key on and moving the gear selector from park to 1st a few times, then put it back in park and try to crank the engine. If still no crank try to start it in neutral. The safety switch may have went bad. It's easy to test with a test light!:)
