NOS Stripe Kits - any good?

    Any issues using NOS Stripe Kits? Does the vinyl Crack or discolor? Will the adhesive still work? I can get a set of NOS stripes or Repro Stripes. Which is the best way to go - or does it depend on price? Or Repro all the way?

    I have learned the hard way that the nos stripes are dried and fall apart.. best to go repro in my opinion.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    I have a set of NOS stipres for a 1970 Grabber. I think I paid $15 for them....so no big loss, but I am going to try them on a car someday. Not a nice car, but just one that needs a little "pizzazz" added to it.

    If it was my own personal car that I had spent lots of time and money on...I would go repop.

    I tried to use an NOS stripe kit on my Boss 302 & had an adhesion problem with them. I ended up buying a repop stripe kit.
