No, it's not a Maverick, Comet or even a Ford. But if you're a fan of horsepower-in-general, you'll appreciate it. Just a different wheelstand than what you normally see. I think he was referring to the way it just hangs smoothly there in mid air until he lets off. Normally they just fly up and come down. Very Cool
Very cool! I want my Comet to do that someday. Not quite as long. I just want the wheels off the ground about 3 to 6 inches as I launch...Lets people know it has some power for a street machine.
wow. That was beautiful. It was so steady it almost looked like it were suspended from cables. Thanks Rick.
Awesome! Man that is one sweet launch! What kind of suspension do you have? Did it break anything on the way down.
Roffle! I thought the same thing (and wondered if the comment was a take-off on that thread). 71mavlouisville, that's not my ride. I just came across the vid whilst perusing my local track's website. And yes, I was referring to how it held the wheels up steadily for a good distance - just not a normal wheelie.
Just got the May 2005 issue of Car Craft. It has a whole section on wheel stands. Going up is easy. Coming back to earth was the tough part.
