Noticed something in passing, now I am curious

I was looking at my user profile and going through my user CP and noticed a term I never picked up on before.
If you go to user profile, right above "trader rating", it says "referals" and has a number after.

What does that mean?

I started looking at others, and some have zero, while others have 4, and anything between. I suppose they go higher than 4, but I only pulled up 5 or 6 profiles totally at random.

I have a 1.

Yeah, like Naford said...I got my wife to join so she would stop logging in as me and writing "This is scooper's wife..." trying to undo some evil I had unleashed upon the forum...(oops, sorry, got off track for a second there:sorry

For each person that signs up because you referred them here, you get a point.

 

I thought it was a feedback system for dealing with other members like eBay has....

OOPS, I missed what you said, above the trader rating. I don't see it, maybe I'm blind? LOL

 

It is above the trader rating if you click on your name and go to your profile. Not on this page with the posts.

 

Wow, I have three. Never paid much attention to that. Wasn't even sure if it was a GOOD thing, since if you got a referral where I went to school, that was a bad thing. LOL
