Is there a list somewhere which lists the official paint colors from the various years of Ford Mavericks?
I need to touch up some rust and am looking for the best match possible.
My Maverick appears to be an eggshell white.

Its called Wimbeldon White and paint code is 9A. Ford used it for years.

    Thanks so much!
I don't suppose there is a vendor (online?) which sells touch up paint for these specific colors?

I was not able to find an online vendor who sells Wimbeldon White.
However, I was able to find a local paint shop who could mix it for me.
No luck on matching any existing spray can colors (Krylon, eg).

Chances of finding the Wimbledon just sittin on the shelf are slim and none...you didn't mention if the paint you found comes in a spray can...we have a local parts store that will mix any color as long as they have the code and put it in a spray can.

Just keep in mind that newly mixed paint will never match 30 year old paint ...

I have to disagree on that Dan as far as the Wibledon white goes, if its rubbed and polished it matches pretty good, there's a line 3 inches wide down the entire side of my car and the entire front half of the car was done with a rattle can. While not perfect it's presentable until I can get the job done on it I want.

:slap: OK ... perhaps aged white paint can be refreshed enough to match new paint ... :)

Yes, I did manage to get Wimbeldon White in an aerosol can to use as a spray.
I also found a workable Krylon color (if needed).

But what dmhines said is true (of my car at least). The mixed paint does not match exact. I've degreased and even used paint thinner to clean the existing paint. It's passable, but not exact.

Try using 3M's rubbing and glazing compounds with the hook-it pads on a DA sander, follow the directions carefully, this stuff is kinda expensive but it works miracles. Cleaning the existing paint will not work...you have to totally remove any and all oxidation to get down to the "good" paint. Then takes some lighter fluid and clean the area you want to touch up. Apply your paint in several light coats, let dry for 24 hours and then rub and buff it out by hand using the same compounds.
