72 I6 200 engine. Going to give it an oil change today. Just wondering how much it takes. Ive read 5 and ive read 7 with a filter change as well. I will be doing a filter change. Also wondering what weight to use or what weight would ok to use. I know people have different opinions I just want to get a general idea.

Use 5 quarts with filter change. I use 10-30 weight oil which works for me.

Mobil 1 10W-30 High Mileage goes in both the Maverick and Mustang with the 170 and 200ci i6s, either that or Castrol SYNTEC 10W-30.

Oh I forgot to add, I always do 5.28 quarts(that's what the big oil jugs advertise as having.) I might switch to 10W-40 to see if it helps with oil burning(about half a quart every two months) and a ticking lifter.
