Oil pans and valve covers

    God, yes! Don't screw around with those awful cork or floppy black rubber gaskets. Get the blue 1-piece Fel-Pro Perma-Dry gaskets for your oil pan and valve covers, and never look back! Don't have to worry about how you tighten them, they won't slip, you don't have to glob on a bunch of silicone, they never leak and they are reusable. They aren't cheap but they pay for themselves fast.

    ditto. felpro 1 pc rubber with anti-crush o-rings.

    Felpro also has cork valve cover gaskets with crush proof O rings at the bolt holes. These are the ticket for stamped steel covers.

    I like the metal pieces that cover all areas of the valve cover and oil pan rails on top like the 5.0's have, Might just be certain years though I don't know. I do know they don't have any leaking problems if tightened wrist tight with a 1/4" ratchet. lol That is the way I was taught and never have many problems

    Have you tried the rubber sheathed steel Felpros with stamped steel covers ? :huh: I thought about it, but didn't see how they'd seal with the stamped steel covers being more flexible
