ok i might be stupid but should i pass on this maverick?

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    ok guys i just went to check out a maverick today. basicly i can get this think for like practicly free! just gotta tow it out of this back alley! and i mean back alley! its a 75 with a cyl in it. non air non disk brake car. has 130,000 plus orginal miles on it and she is the second owner. she parked the car cuz the tranny woundn't shift out unless they warmed the car up for 10 mins each morning. she claims the motor was rebulit at 60K from the owner before. its in non-op so i don't have to pay any back fees! infact she had all the paper work expecting me to take it today.. but i really need to think about it and have you guys say i'm stupid for not taking it! cons is it don't run and i falls under californias somg laws.. and i'm sure it wont pass! the body is streight as hell! NO RUST! what you guys think?

    motor is was like way clean for someone who didn't really know anything about cars... just spider webs galore!!!! the freaking valve cover wasn't even leaking oil!

    the worse thing was the seats thats about it... didn't even smell bad.. must have been the fake flowers! (y) :D :p

    other body shots..

    the wheel trim was perfect too! along with all the stainless! rub cap rings were the only thing rusted really bad.. but no big deal!
