Ok, who wants to loan out their bottle opener...(drip rail)

I am seriously trying to get off my drip rail trim. And I cannot find an old style bottle opener anywhere. Someone help a brotha' out...I'll paypal an deposit...:162:
I've looked over the threads here an other places. And I've left a few marks in an inch of my trim. Ain't gonna do it anymore. I want to reuse that trim...:cry:
    I'm desperate. Help!

Mine came off so easy. I just peeled it of. I don't have a bottle opener or I would send it to you. I just use my teeth to open a beer. :D

take a wooden paint stir stick and start at front edge of the drip rail and gently tap the edge of the trim.I did that on my last car and it came off like butta, lol.
    it works...Jim

Yellow, I'm lost...What do you mean?

    Thanks, Mavowar...

Derrick, I haven't gone to the supermarket, but I've been to Target, Bed Bath, and Beyond, (the shame, the shame...), and I still can't find a good old style one. Everything is modern and refined...

I took a paint stir stick and put it on the drip rail stainless steel trim...placed it where it fit over the lip on the bottom...took a small hammer and tapped the stick. the trim came off after a few taps and did same process all the way down each side.no scratches, just be easy with it.

I do the same thing only use an old worn straight slot screw driver. I think you have a greater chance of putting dings in it with a bottle opener because it prys against the face of the trim.

Put some electrical tape on the bottle opener, and it will help keep the marring and scratches to a minimum.
