http://www.badasscars.com/techtips.html#Reality (scroll down and find the red box for the power calculator)

3400 lbs
13.19 et
104.5 mph

calculated

297.8hp at the rear wheels

372hp at the flywheel

approx

edelbrock performer rpm package with the hydraulic cam they sell with a 750 holley is rated at 375 flywheel hp nice to see they are accurate on the advertised hp

I have a 282s solid (similar specs as the hydraulic they sell) and a 600dp with a milled choke (650hp and spring awaits)

whats your combo run

Interesting link! heres how mine went:
3200lbs
12.27et
112mph
= 346hp at rear wheels
433hp at flywheel.....according to this calculator

Mine is a '69 351w, AFR 185 heads, 10:1 comp, Comp 274ex, preformer RPM intake, AED Holley 750dp and a set of bashed up Hooker 302headers
I noticed that you car is rather heavy...have you weighed it or it is just a guess. I weighed mine a few years ago. With iron heads and steel rims(have alum now) and my tools in the trunk(tons of tools)..mine weighed in at 2985lbs(without me). I figure my weight numbers are high..but until I reweigh it I over estimate

first mines a 73 big front small rear bumper car it has a stereo with a 10 inch sub full exhaust steel wheels a 350-400lb driver the lightest pre stereo weight I have ever seen is 2940lbs so assuming 3000 lbs my 350-375 lbs and above dead weight I don't find 3400lbs unreasonable do you ? think the driver weight is high ask coop I'm 6ft5 and 350ish in fighting trim >;0

Wish there was a dyno close by so I could check the figures I got on that site to actual figures. Mine runs 5.90s-6.00 1/8 at 115 (that's around a 9.60/140 1/4 mile). Site calc figured 723 HP. Sure sounds high. 2700 lbs (2520 w/o driver) weight figure.

to the ground, or at the flywheel? That does sound a bit high for that weight.

physics is physics takes a certain amount of power to go from a dead stop to a speed at a distance it's not perfectly accurate but it's a close guess without actual numbers handy
300rwhp is probably pretty close considering the package looser convertor and correct gearing and a harder leave with good tires might show 30-40hp more in the future maybe it wont we shall see

One thing I havent mentioned here yet is that on the following pass I was shifting at 6,500 for the first time...Car was feeling better than ever but I forgot to raise my rev limiter up from 6,600 were it has always been.
At the top of 2nd gear it hit the limiter...I thought something had broken for a second and I lifted...THEN I realized what had happened :slap: and got back in to the throttle. That pass was a 12.22 @ 104.16 mph! I think it was about to run maybe a 12 flat. I couldn`t get back in line cause the staging lanes had closed.:(

As soon as the track re-opens ...we will see.

I think it's low. For one thing, "25% drivetrain loss" is bogus, as pointed out by someone here in a previous thread. If a 250hp motor loses 62.5 horsepower at the rear wheels, why would a 500hp motor lose 125hp?! With that theory, the more powerful your engine is, the more it's gonna lose at the rear wheels. That's a bunch of crap.
They even admit that there are a lot of variables unaccounted for...

I agree with T.L. on this! of course I'm no expert of pretty much everything. As for comparison my car made 327hp & 333ft lbs torque at the wheels on the local Chassis Dyno a few months ago..so it may be a bit off on that end also(maybe, perhaps, possibly, plausable, not sure) But these number do sound better than what I have...

sounds about right...

get my heeads..cam.. gears and tires... and i am guessing i will be at about 300 hp..i hope
my goal is 1 hp per cube...minimum
