It came up in a thread so I wanted to see what everyone thought about PST kits, I'm saving for the polygraphite kit now, along w/ shocks, and front and rear swaybars.

    Alternatives? Suggestions?

    My opinion...

Well, about the PST front end, I bought the Super PolyGraphite front end. I also got new (stock) front springs, and new shocks (KYB Gas-a-just front, KYB "normal kind" rear). Couldn't find a PST sway bar, but I have a 7'8" one there already I think.

Having a 27 year old car, not only was it psychologically satisfying to know that I have a "new" front end that won't fall apart on me, but the handling is greatly improved.

I went from a 250 to a 302, so my driving habits changed considerably, and the PST front end keeps me cornering nice and tightly. Nothing but praise about it.

Oh, and from my particular application, I found that the rear springs (leafs) also should be replaced...something I've got to do later. I get a little sway after a tight turn.

    Best of luck,
    Atzy.

I have P-S-T polygraphite components, large sway bar with stock original springs and KYB Gas-A-Just shocks. In the summer it's okay-certainly tight. It corners nicely. In colder months that polygraphite does not give much and until it warms up a bit from movement(ie-driving) it gives a jolt at every bump. I went with the standard rubber sway bushings...but it's still very tight. It's probably a bit too racy of a setup for normal routine cruising.

there just isnt very many rubber bushings in our cars to replace with poly bushings. you dont want to use the poly ones in the strut rods. they cause the strut rod to snap on you. this usualy happens at freeway speeds and sends you spining out. that only leaves the sway bar and lower control arm bushings. the control arm bushings are so small that changing them to poly is a wast. you get a whole new control arm when you get a lower ball joint. it will come with a bushing in it.

If you order the PST kit...you will still have to install the ploy bushings your self.(they come in the kit:not installed)Use poly for the sway bar bushings and end links, leave the rest alone :yup:
I have a PST kit with 7/8" front bar on my blue mav.No complaints.
