so ive been doing some homework and finding that Comet GT came with the C4 tranny and a 302 V8(?) motor, for the most part at least. Please correct me if im wrong as im jumping from this site to others trying to soak up information.

also, one thing that stuck out with my brothers old Comet GT is that the car was orange with white stripes just like the one in the link below.

my question, at this time, is: was this color scheme(orange and white) available to a certain "special edition" or was it just one of the schemes that were available for the Comet/Comet GT? The reason for the question is that the link above has got to be the only picture i have EVER found of another Comet GT that looked exactly like my brothers. any information is greatly appreciated. :thumbs2:

    thanks
    Gabe

EDIT: i looked through all of the pics of the Comet GTs in the Gallery this site has and found a few orange w/black stripes cars but none with the white stripe. its not looking like it was a special edition of any sort rather, one that may not have survived as well as the others. :/

It may not have been a special edition color, it may however be a rare combination. Back in the day you could order a car pretty much anyway you wanted. That includes engine and transmission.
