I had somebody email me asking about the battery cables on my 1974 Maverick LDO since there are original to the car. I thought I would share the info here as well for future concourse reference.

The part numbers on the battery cables...and they appear original:

    + D2ZF-14300-AA
    - D2OF-14301-AA

I bought 1970-71 Mustang repops to put on my orange 1972 Maverick. They
look just like the ones on a Maverick, and they are stamped with these part
    numbers:

    + D0ZF-14300-A
    - D0ZF-14301-B

Yup ... same cables I bought ... I did notice that on the factory cables the battery side clamp is shaped differently on the positive and negative cable. On the repops they are identical ... atleast the one's I bought are ...

Here is a picture of the repop cables on my orange '72. While the battery ends are similar...they are different. The positive cable has a slightly bigger hole....and it has a + cast into it.

I also looked thru my parts stash. I had a 1976 Maverick I parted out. It was a 19,000 mile one-owner car. This is the battery cable on that car. It has the exact same part number as my 1974.

    Yessssss !!!!!!!!!

How else will we get more reproduction parts unless there is a real following for original restorations?

Did anyone notice what won best of show at this years Roundup? Here's the winner.

The car belongs to fellow hoosier Harold Weaver. Very nice car indeed. Are there any pictures of the interior of that car?

I bought some Repo cables yesterday from NPD, their concours grade, made by Marti Auto Works, when I get home this afternoon I'll post some pic's.
