    Was watching the movie the other night. Seen a good shot of a Maverick, just before he darts off the freeway & hits a light pole...

    funny, i just saw that too. a friend of mine just bought that movie about a couple weeks ago. also, he was reading some history about that movie and read that that accident with the light pole was a real unplanned accident that left the driver in the hospital for a few weeks. couldnt imagine going from that fast to a dead stop in that amount of time.

    remeber when he went to steal that red sports car from the car wash? well in the back ground there is a green maverick with the rear faced towards the camera.

    I saw that movie in the theaters when it first came out. Was and still is one of the coolest car movies ever made.

    if you guys look real close, theres a 71 grabber "grabber blue" as hes pulling up to the "pay" station on the freeway a grabber is in front of him, you can only see the back of it, and it goes pretty quick!!!

    The original version had far better car stunts than the Nicolas Cage version. But the Nicolas Cage version had one up on the original, no pun intended.
