Does anyone know the originality of the dash chrome strip? Meaning, on some cars there is a chrome strip that picks up at the corners of the dash pad and kinda rounds out the dash board. What years was it offered? I saw someone here has a two-tone painted dash with the chrome strip that looked killer. Rocco
sounds like an LDO package to me. like these right? never seen on two tone.. but for sure i'm thinking 73 and up
Anybody know "how" the chrome was fastened to the dash panels? Would it be had to "add" this to a car that didn't have the chrome? I think it looks really nice, and I did see a car that did a "two tone" effect separated by the strip.
Yeah, that is the chrome strip I am talking about. I can't find a pic of the car with the two-tone paint. So adding it will be simple and won't rock the boat by not having an LDO car. Cool.
If my memory serves me correctly, I remember seeing a gold "grabber" that had the center part of the dash black, while the dash pad and bottom section (separated by the chrome strip) was gold or tan. It really looked nice too!
Hey, I found a pic on my computer. It's not a great example (can't see it very well) but you get the idea. It's an older Maverick with a lower tray....
Thats the way my 72 grabber dash is, I think the two tone on the dash makes the interior on these cars look great.
Grabbers had the two-tone dash ... unless the dash was black ... then it was all black ( well ... actually metallic charcoal ...)
