outer E-brake cables

    i glassbeaded my outer cables today and was wondering what color they were stock. they don't look like they had any paint on them.
    ...and does anyone have a pic. of them installed. the reason i ask is i have seen 3 or more different adjuster brackets.

    What I did for parts that are not supposed to be painted was just clearcoat the metal. This keeps them from rusting and keeps them looking original without having to use a silver paint which I think makes things look odd.

    They have paints that replicate bare metal, works way better than clear coat. Clear coat yellows over time, and the metal will actually rust under it.
