overspray

    i recently painted an cleared my car. but, i was doing some touch up work around the car, an when i was finished i had overspray all over the roof. i papered it off, but obviously not well enough. what kinda trouble am in tryin to get it out. i had already wetsanded and poloshied it all up. thanks for any help i can get. :mad:

    Get some polishing compound. Unless you have a good amount of buffing experience, do it by hand. If its really heavy, go with a more aggressive buffing compound.

    1977 Maverick 2 door with a 302.
    Rubbing compound is the way to go where oversray is concerned. Some times if the overspray is really bad it helps to very lightly wetsand the area and buff it again. Every now and then the tape will come loose when the car is blown off and if it is not sealed down tight again, the overspray will sneak in where it should not go.

    thanks for the help, i went an compounded it all out today, an put a nice polosh on. its startin to come togther!:)
