just want to get some ideas for my project. i have a 74 4 door. i've decided to go themed to psychobilly/rockabilly. im thinking flat black with flames near the headlights. maybe skull and crossbones on the front doors. anyone wanna drop an idea for this?
dude. first off nice thought. secondly its nice to see another okie running a pi. i had a 1990 cvpi. tranny went down to only having 1st and 2nd before i managed to blow the headgasket. its about to be crushed.

nice. i just have an odd attraction to the black and whites. i got the mav because it was a black and white. very amateur paint job but still a black and white
My first idea was to paint the maverick black or gunmetal gray but since it was already orange I think I like the idea of orange with white. Not really sure yet, I still haven't really been able to even start rebuilding the car yet.

Thanx for serving you got a tough job these days, I remember the days when locals would run me in my 69 SS 396 for a couple miles with their 440's. My grandfather owned a diner and booked numbers for a few of them . They would see me, flash the lights one time and the race was on ! Could you imagine getting caught in this day and age doing that? Flat black is a great color. I just think it needs a little more maybe flames or other accent done in gloss with a little flake. Have fun, John
I haven't really started so I'm not needing anything right now, I'm working 6 days a week until around July 15th so I haven't really had time to dedicate to the car although I plan on getting up early in the morning and going out to my Uncles to work on the Maverick, we're going to stuff a 351 in it but have to get the stands and belly bar out of the Comet first. Hopefully I remember the camera so I can start a new thread. Sorry for getting your thread so far off topic.
