well i am almost done, what am i saying i am never gonna be done working on my car. But I was wondering what color should i paint my comet? I am gonna be doing it myself, maybe in a couple months, i was thinking silver with blue racing stripes. suggestions ? i am welcome to any one's oppinions. thanks for the help all. -Doug
Had a friend years ago that painted his comet, not a GT, a champaign color, with black GT stripes and hood. Looked great. Just one suggestion.
how about original color and add some pearl to it...that way you dont have to do the door jambs and truck area.....just the outside of the car..... put the pearl in the clear and dont put too much....or it will mess it up... ask your paint shop ...but a good rule is 1/2 ounce per gallon of clear....and there are a bunch of different colors of the pearl....red....gold...black....white...etc...
i was thinking of painting it the original color again, what is the color code for the blue? (77 comet)
go to any paint store and they will tell you based on the year and make of car....they will know exactly what it is and remember.. the new can of paint WONT look like the original... because of the fading and all that.....and it will look a little deeper in color due to manufacturing processes these days
