painting the grille

    while im in the middle of taking apart the front of my 73 mav i got to thinking about painting my grille black. anybody have any tips, tricks or experiance with this :huh:

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Painted mine semi gloss black with rustoleum BBQ grill paint about 20 years ago.Still looks good.Just clean it really well,scuff it up with a scotchbrite pad(then clean it again) and paint it.You may want to paint the satin portion or your headlight trim rings as well to keep it looking like it belongs that way.
