    Hey guys!!!! i want to paint my maverick and i want to paint over the old paint what kind of sanding would i have to do to get it to cover good

    It's not that easy of a question.

    Are you just wanting to sand and spray color? Are going to prime the whole thing, sand then paint? We are going to need way more than that.

    Sorry should have explained more:oops: i just want to sand and paint no primer except where i have to fix couple holes ive heard the old paint makes for a great under coat but wasnt sure how to go about sanding it to get it ready to paint

    i paint professionaly. i would sand the entire car with 320 grit. prime and fix what you need to. wet sand the entire car with 400. one coat of sealer and spray away.
