passenger mirror

    i have a 73 mav with the sport mirrors and on the passenger side the mirror it self shakes fairly bad inside the plastic, is there any thing i can do about it?

    if its the mirror part of it turn it sideways in the housing and you'll see a screw, tighten that and it should stop (y)

    If that doesn't fix the problem...remove the mirror from the housing and take a center punch, hammer and bench vice/anvil make a lot of dents on the "ball". This is known as knurling. It will make the diameter of the "ball" a little bit larger and then you should then be able to tighten the mirror in the socket.
