    how do i know what pertronix kit i need for my 74, 6cyl, 250cuin

    The Petronix website suggests looking at the base of your distributor or an attached tag for codes. Then go back to the website and plug the codes into their search feature. Let us know if that worked.

    it will need a points style dist. to start with for a kit,
    or you can get the pertronix dist.

    I used there conversion on a 200 and it worked great , also on some older chevys , great prouducts

    70 Maverick Grabber, 72 Maverick Grabber Restomod
    1261 is the common Ford 6 cylinder kit for stock point distributors in the Maverick - 70 to 74.
    I put Pertronix in everything .......... :)

    had them in everything also...ford 6/8 cyl...chevy 6/8 cyl...VWs and more than one Harley ...:yup:

    I learned the hard way that the 1261 doesn't fit the 1960-64 distributor with the "D" style shaft. Part number for this type shaft is 1266.
