I like mine, I bought it a few weeks ago for $90 (Canadian), I think if I knew it at the time I would have made sure I bought the "Ignitor II" has a few other features which might be handy.

It has something built in, so if you leave the ignition switch on, it won't screw it up, and it adjusts the dwell, stuff like that. Here's the link: PerTronix
I just compared the two, after I bought mine :(

Alot of guys on Ford Six don't like the Ignitor II. Said it's usually the luck of the draw weather you get a good one or not.

Sounds good except there isn't a dist. within 300 miles of me, so the locator says  . I would really like that so I will inquire when I go get it this weekend.

I've heard good things about those wires. I'm still using points for now, but I'm thinking about making the switch to a similar set up. What kind of plugs are you going with? I'd like to know how it works out for you.

Pertronix II requires 12 volts, and most people who have problems are running through the resisted Ford factory feed, which is usually 8 volts. Pertronix I is not so fussy.

    The regular Pertronix is cool.
I have one that is at least 4 years old, but probably much more.
