took friday off from work and went to the nationals at firebird. had a blast. got home and the wife said a friend called and had some tickets for sunday. the best part is they were free. regularly $57 each. also gave us two snap on racing hats and tickets to the hospitality tent for doug herbert racing with lunch included. there was some really close racing. i've never seen so many cars running dead on. impressive. pro class winners were tf dragster, schumacher; funny car, john force; and pro stock, anderson.:bananaman

I watched it on ESPN on Saturday and today. Sure looked hot out there. I love watching the in-car camera on Pro-Stock. Those are some good drivers. Good to see Bob Glidden involved in NHRA again. John Force was great entertainment, as usual.

Only thing NHRA Pro Stock lacks is a competitive Ford. Ford rules Pro Stock in IHRA. NHRA limits Pro Stock engines to 500 ci; IHRA limits engines to 800 ci. Most Ford engines in IHRA are built by John Kaase. I wish he woluld work on a 500 ci to be competitive in NHRA. Just dreaming.:)

I hear ya! Thats exactly what I was thinking. (y)There has been a dry spell in NHRA Pro-stock for waaaay to long. In the Glidden era that was my favorite form of drag racing for sure. N/A motors on gasoline. Sweeeeet.
