First I want to say this isn't a complaint, but I've been seeing a few pics being posted that are sideways. Is there an easy way to flip them to view on the forum? I've got arthritis and have a hard time turning my head so any suggestions would be great! :D

Just turn your monitor on its side., that way your head wont get tired.

Actually when you first save them on your computer, edit them in MS paint or something and that way you can flip them 90* to one side, and then reduce them in size so that they are not so big.

Some digital cameras have a setting for "best orientation". Setting that to off will make them all come out normal. Even if a pic comes out of the cam sideways, it can easily be rotated in a pic editor...

Thanks for the responses to my question, but what I'm trying to find out, are there any forum tools to rotate pics? I can copy them and use other programs to rotate them, but it would be much better if I could do it quickly with forum tools. By the way, these are not my photos I'm asking about, but other members posted photos. :)

So I want to throw another annoyance out there. If the pic was taken with a smart phone or camera it is a right pain in the arse to snap pics in the correct orientation then display them.

When I first got my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 I almost chucked it out a window when I took a picture of my daughters and my dog. It kept being sideways when I tried to look at it no matter what I did with the thing. Problem is there is no UP on an android device. I actually haven't noticed this issue as much on iPhones or Windows phones. In fact my sister-in-law was mocking me as her Nokia Lumia was intelligent enough to know which way was up.

There are no forum tools for this. The uploader has to have the picture correct when it is uploaded.

Then once you flip them to the corrected view and hit "x" to leave the photo, the computer will then ask you if you want to replace the original file with the edited version and you simple say "yes" - now it is saved as the "non sidesway" verson :)

There is nothing you can do for pictures uploaded to the forums. However, for pictures uploaded to the gallery, you can edit and then rotate them.

Thanks to all for your responses! The funny ones made my day! My friend suggested looking at the pics in a mirror. Works great!!! They are reversed, but so easy to see now! I just love " High Tech "! :thumbs2:
