Picked up my new Comfortweave Buckets today ...

I think they came out pretty good. I didn't notice but there is a slight issue with the driver side bottom frame ... it's a little twisted. Didn't really notice until it was all put together. Fortunately I don't think it will be noticable in the car with a little tweaking ....

They look great. They remind me very much of the seats in my old 69' Mach 1.

 

I didn't have an original 71 Comfortweave cover so all I had to give them was this picture out of the 71 Sales Brochure for them to copy. here is the back seat. Looks like they may need additional foam at the bottom of the back ... I'll see how it fits when I install them.

Thanks ... I stuck them in without bolts to see how they look. I have repop Hinge Covers that will go on once I have the seats bolted down ... Now I just need to get teh car running!

Turns out the problem with the driver seat is that the rear mounting points for the tracks is pushed up about 3/4 inch making it angle back too far. I put some shims between the rear track bolt and the seat frame and now it sits perfect ... Guess whoever had the seats before me was a pretty big dude and crushed them in over years of getting in and out ...

 

They are the same guys who did my 73 Driver bucket to match the rest of the set and it was almost undetectable .. They also did the 4-door to 2-door rear seat conversion in my 74 .....
