    Hello this is 2 pics my 89 5.0 block bored 30 over with Speed Pro Hypereutectic H273CP pistons and the color of the block is Ford red I have the oil pan and its black and valve covers are Black with red ford racing on them. I will post more pic in this post as i make progress

    Nice looking motor. I prefer the Old ford blue, but to each their own :)

    My planes is for the Maverick to be black with red striping down the hood , top & trunk I have also specialy orders a red grabber side striping kit thats why I wanted the motor red and black so all my colors match. I am also going with magnum 500 wheels 15x6 on the front and the back will be 15x8 or 15x10s, will not no for sure till we move the rear springs inboard and mini tub it.

    sounds like a nice plan. be interesting to see. black is a hard color as it shows everything, but when done right it is really good looking. good luck.:)

    Thanks I know its takes a lot of body work to get it right but i figgerd if i am restoring it I should do it right or the best with any color.


    I have found that my #2 pistons is cracked:eek: they are new and don't know if it something i done or if it was aready that way:huh: so I am taking it to the shop to get another one to replace it just glad i seen it b4 i had it all together.

    That picture was taken a few weeks ago. The 347 is in the car and running. Definitely a lot more torque than the 302. :bananaman

    The shop going to replace the crack piston for me at no cost :D :bananaman

    Nice Engine bmcdaniel wish mine was a 347 but i can hardly afford this one I have been colleting parts for for a little over a year now but I have most ever thing to get it together now besides the $300 to get the heads done

    Of course! That's how this whole rebuild thing got started. I wanted forged pistons so I could run a bigger shot. Then I realized that for not much more than adding forged pistons I could have a 347 with forged pistons. Vicious cycle, it never ends.:D
