we took some pics of our maverick but our file is too big to post (i'me not the best on this computer stuff) but if you e-mail me at oksav@aol.com I do belive that I can e-mail them to you  Thank you for being patient with me!
Mike had called me because of the part that had broke off of his cylinder head. You can see the broken off part in picture #5. It came out of the hole located above the sparkplug in pix #4. Can anybody help him out?
I am sort of guessing here but it looks like a check valve from the emissions air injection system? I use a question mark because I have never seen one mounted there before, but it is in the right location. My guess is that the part that broke off is screwed into the head. Probably about a 1/2 pipe thread? You can buy check valves at any parts store for about $10, but you might have to do some searching to get a screw in one like the original. Perstence will likely be the key to getting the old one out. Maybe try a small sharp chizel and start picking at the edge with a hammer. If you can get and edge started - hit it with PB Blaster and try to spin it out. It might be pretty brittle and come out easy. Fingers crossed. Keep us posted ... I like interesting challenges. With the exception of the OOPS (front fender) the paint looks nice and bright I'm jealous - primer is about as much as I see my car getting for some time. Cleaver
