I am on a quest to find the perfect set of rims for my 71 Grabber. I am leaning towards a set of 15x8 (rear) and 15x7 (front) Torq Thrust II's. My first question is if anyone has these or knows someone who has them on a Maverick, would you be able to post a pic or two of them on here? My second question is, since I havent fully made up my mind, if you wouldnt mind having a quick show (off) and tell, I would really like to see some pics of the rims you all have on your Mavs. Thanks!
If you can please posts some pics of your car, What kind of look are you going for with your Maverick? Stock,Hot Rod,Cruiser?
I say just cut a lot of stuff and put 20's on j/k Do need pics of your car to see what would look best...
Go to the home page and click on photo gallery....more pics of cars with different wheels than you can shake a stick at.
When finished, I kinda want the street racer/hot rod look. I just got the car a few weeks ago, and want do do the "needed" things first, but for looks, Im going to need the rims, ya know?! I will take a look at the pics, thanks for the info. --Rick I added some "custom" rims to the pic. Give ya a little laugh.
Ya know I think a set of Crager Keystone classics would look good on that and the price is reasonable.
Good choice! I was looking at a couple of Cragar's... that was one of them. While we are at it, does anyone want to explain what back spacing is on wheels. I think I may need to know this before going in and getting something. Thanks!
From what I gather, backspacing is the distance from the inside bead of the wheel to the wheel mounting surface. Generaly on these cars, I think BS should be 4", but correct me if I'm wrong and I'll remove this post to avoid confusion Shaun
Yup. im still confused about the backspacing thing. I am just concerned about rubbing issues. What would be the widest tire I could get on the back and front? I was thinking 245/70/15 (rear) and 235/70/15 (front). I didnt even think about the rotating of the tires, thanks for the input!
Does anyone know what size tires and rims Shawn Simpson has on his Maverick? or does anyone know how to get ahold of him to ask? Thanks!
Foosed on Photoshop I like the Foose Lusso, but the offsets would require a spacer. I hope the attachment works, my computer is freakin' out lately.
