Being Seth was interested in my situation(greatly appreciated) thight I would send a pic of our stable of Fords at the strip. Seems most of us Ford fanatic's, park in the same area. Have had this same spot for 13 yrs and with my camper there, is my second home. Got the Mav, my Fairmont, and the Mustang that belonged to youngest son until he traded to Mavman when he joined the Army. We now call it the "Rental Racer" because we have a fellow driving it for us. There is another one similiar to it parked behind, the yellow 56 Ford, has a 440 Dodge in it and is driven and maintained by a 72yr old, who is an amazing person to know and watch drive. It has had every Ford engine in it, that was ever made, according to him, but the Mopar seemed to out run and out last all of them. Wish all of you experience the fun and friendship at a similiar place.

dave, can't see the picture. speaking of the rental racer. i have a friend with an alcohol nova that loans it out to others. he calls it the "hired gun". a racer came over from hawaii to race the et finals in phoenix last year and won the super pro race of champions with it. :)

    Thanks, Dave.

Looks like you guys have it made in the shade! (y)

That '56-yellow and white? Hardtop? Victoria? I like those.

Dad has an all original '54 Crestline Victoria tucked in the garage.
He lost interest in it several years ago, hasn't moved it in years
and now has enough stuff piled around it that it would take several
hours just to get to it. 239 Y-block with 3 spd. manual on the column.
    Blue, white top, blue/white interior.

Be well, Dave. Keep cool and hydrated on these summer days.

hey dave, is that a really poor track moneywise. looks like thay can't afford to remove all that green stuff and blacktop it like we do here. J/K:biglaugh: man i bet that cools the pits a lot. if we want any shade we bring our own and then the heat just relects off of the blacktop anyway. i'm jealous.:)

hahah! Made in the shade my butt.
That was the 30 seconds of shade that hovers over the pits there.
It's usually pretty hot there.. most of the racing season. But thanks to the "carport" thing Dave has, and his generator and fan it's not that bad.
Good pic by the way Dave... one day my Comet will be up there :)
