I finally figured out to post the most recent pictures of the crites headers. I also included a copy of the engine work sheet. The only cutting that needs to be done is with the shock tower. Please keep in mind the headers are all separate pieces. Incidently, there is plenty of room to change the plugs. Plus you have to use a remote oil filter system. Anymore questions please let me know. :drive:

I just inserted this last picture of two fiberglass fenders and hood that fit really good and they were made by glasstek. In case anyone is interested.

The heads are Victor Jr. 215cc.

The combustion chamber size is 60cc. You can read this info on the work sheept picture I provided. I do realize it's a little small. The headers are (I think) 3 piece but I'm not 100% positive. I just can't remember for sure. No catches except when you call to order them they do not have any in stock but they will make them to order for you. I payed 329.00 for them and 37 bucks to ship them from Ohio to Las Vegas Nv. I think it's a great deal for what your getting. Number 740-983-4777 and you can check out their web site at: www.critesrestoration.com Let me also say that the guys and gals are great on this site expecially for information. Keep up the good work everybody.

Great pics, I think Crites headers fit better on a 351w than a 302 based
engine. The only thing I see different about yours is the 2 inch flange pattern
at the cyl. head than my 3 inch pattern. Looking at the pics I can see where a
few tubes are pinched down, not so with the 3 inch pattern.

So far I am very happy, I just went 10.82 @ 124 with my 347 1st time out.

Any pics of them on your 347? I am building a 347 for mine and I am considering the Crites headers also.

    Thanks.

I've tried to take pics, The headers are painted black and they are hard to
see against my black engine bay. I will tell you they fit better than my hookers
The only problem ,I had to dent the #5 tube slightly to fit around the 90
degree oil filter adapter. No other mods were needed.

I can't open the links to the pix so

I can't open the links to the pictures so here is another link that show them all. Just click on the pix to enlarge. Btw, please notice pix #6 and at the right you will see an engine light bulb with a turn handle so you can pull a chord out to view the engine. I don't know if this was a stock item with the car or not?

I know that they were a factory option in early eighties Ford pickups.

Just ordered my headers today from Crites....was told it could be 2 or 3 months before I get them:cry: guess I should have ordered them last month. I may have to drive to the Knotts show with my old headers again this year:drive:

Did you have to pre-pay for them or will you pay when they are done?

I had to prepay. I can't wait 'till they arrive! Can't wait to see what kind of difference they will make over what I have now!
