Does anyone have pictures of the original steerwheel of a 74 Maverick (any model) ?

Here is the deluxe wheel (woodgrain trim on hornpad):

I don't have a picture of the standard wheel handy .. it is identical but all rubber with no woodgrain trim ... The steering wheel wrap is not original.

thanks for the picture, it does confirm that I have(had) an original steeringwheel. As it is all rubber in the center, it disintegrated over the years. At the moment I will need to try to restore the center part you can press to honk the horn.

Except that doesn't look like a '74 wheel. It looks like a '73 or older. In '74 the center had a bit of a "gullwing" shape as opposed to being straight across (the steering wheel in the Starsky & Hutch car is a perfect example). I put a '74 steering wheel in my '73 many years ago before I got a Grant, and eventually the factory sport unit that is in it now. Dan's car may be an 'early '74 or the '74s may have come with both styles. I really don't know...

T.L. ... I am not sure what year the wing shape started on the steering wheel ... but it wasn't 1974 ... Here are pictures of my car sent to me by the original owner before I went and picked it up ... owned by an 88 year old woman who bought it new ...

Hmm...Now I'm wondering if it was a '75 that I got that steering wheel from.:hmmm:
I know for certain that '75s had them, but I always thought it was a '74 that I got mine from. Of course that was 17 or 18 years ago...

I think '75 is when the wheel changed.
