i thought this might be a list of who pinky is going after. was wondering if i was on the list.:evilsmile
Oh. he's gonna definitely need it Sounds like the Doc is fixin you up right, I might oughta get some "plumbing" done...just in case.
Don....thats a seperate "special" list :evilsmile Rick, you have nothing to worry about, my little tire car has no chance of beating the PLUMSTER but we should get some pretty pictures of them at the starting line
John, I hope you get it done. The whole reason I am going this year is to see the champ beaten by the Plumster .......well that and so I can here Ron say "eh"
I have not doubt you know what your are doing, but would you please explain the cam selection (small lift in particular)? I realize getting the most out of an engine is done by the "system" approach. I assume this works well with your setup. news bulletin: I just checked the specs on the Lunati 51019LUN from summitracing.com: Lunati Solid Roller Tappet Camshafts Camshaft, Solid Roller Tappet, Advertised Duration 281/ 289, Lift .602/ .602
i was trying to be nice about the cam. i noticed it too. figured he was trying to lay some smack. i was thinking that has to be one smoooooth idle. thanks for mentioning it rick.
no need to be nice Don :evilsmile thats not the norm around here I have no ideal about the cam, other than that is what Doc says will work best with my set-up. I know Doc mentioned about having the exhaust side stay open a little longer to help my small headers but other than that it is real similar to the cam I had in it before. I trust whatever Doc says...... I know I expressed to Doc that I am really wanting something that is more reliable.....if I lose a couple numbers......well then I do. I am willing to sacrafice a little performance for a little more longivity. Maybe Doc will get on here and add more to it.
the lift on that cam is probley auctal lobe lift , .602/.602 is valve lift w/ 1.6 rockers .389 is lobe lift at cam , i believe this is true if i am wrong sorry im pretty sure thats what it is, mutilply 389 x 1.6 and you should get 602 sounds good though
That sure is a nice combo John. I dont know what the innards were before but if the cam is smaller it should make for a more user friendly street car. But with some good tuning you might not lose any E.T. Dan ps what heads are on it?
