Just scrape the loose rust off and go at it

Wire brush or wire wheel will make quick work of it, no need for sand paper. (y)

But follow their instructions, use Marine Clean, and Prep & Ready, to pre-treat the areas.

I peeled it off one of my floor pans like a sheet of notebook paper...maybe the Guy at the restoration shop skipped one or more of the steps. I think there are at least three...
those extra steps are why I use Rust Bullet...:yup:

I didn't use the first stuff your supposed to put down and it can peel up easy if the surface wasnt rough enough. happened on my spots where it was brand new sheet metal, like trunk drops ect.

and if it gets on your hands..usually wears off in 2 weeks..thats if you work with your hands lol. otherwise maybe longer.

that's what I like about Rust Bullet, I can put it on new or old metal without it peeling. I've use it on new gas tanks 3-4 times with no problems. then black them out with the paint/undercoating.

That's the instructions, I've followed what they said, and have no issues. The underside of my Green car has been done almost 7 years now, I've driven it in some nasty weather, and its still where I put it. I don't see why people come up with their own application instructions, then bitch when the product fails.
