Maverick.to has used a record amount of bandwidth in August and is close to exceeding it's limit. As a result, I may have to close the forums until September 1, when the bandwidth counter will be reset.
I would have no problem paying a registration fee to up your bandwidth for the month ... I'm sure the fee per person wouldn't be much considering the number of members on the board. Just a thought ...
thats what we did on a mustang board i belong to.it was either that or the owner of the board would have been forced to clog up the sight with advertisements. i too would not have a problem with a fee to help keep things running smoothly.
Just curious ... Does the forum software you are using allow you to disable graphics ... that would save alot on bandwidth and possibly make it through September 1st.
Dan, good idea. I disabled avatars and the viewing of attachments. I will restore these options in September
Its September and we made it! The site used close to 20 gigs of bandwidth, compared to 6 gigs only a year ago!
anyway we can help? it's probably not going to go down as winter is coming in many parts of the country pretty quick. that means more people with time on there hands. let us know.

A small member's fee is nominal compaired to the help this site provides us...I too would have no prob in helping to support your efforts....
