I'm working on a deal where I might have a workshop available for me for a few months where I will have full access to paint and body tools and supplies. I plan on straightening the entire 74 and giving it a fresh two stage paint job. I'm contemplating changing the color but can't really think of any color besides Yellow that really goes with the Tan LDO interior I have. Any thoughts or ideas?

I am a pretty big fan of white but not to many people like it, now I say that and I have a black mav and collecting parts for a soon to be Yellow or Blue (it is the wifes and she can't make up her mind  ) And white would look good with the tan interior.

Yeah ...white goes with any color interior (well .. maybe not green) ... but white is kinda blah so ain't gonna go that route .. :)

I had a Laser Red Eddie Bauer Expedition with a tan interior. You could do a Dark Blue, Green or White. My current truck is Toreador Red with a Tan leather interior.

I was considering some sort of blue ... I like Grabber Blue but not with a Tan interior ... already have a red car so that's out ... Was also considering a more chrome yellow than the current butterscotch yellow. Also I think a Gold Metallic would look pretty nice ...

    And yes ... I will also have a MIG so bye-bye trim ... :)

Dark green metallic with tan is a great combo. Then you would have a red and green set! (y)

What ever color you paint it, get some paint that matches the interior color and use it for stripes or accents.

I second the dark metallic green. That is the combo we are going with on my daughter's '77.

    Hey Dan.

When I was going to buy your car....I will tell you what color I was going to paint it.

It is a chevy color (sorry)...but ford or anybody else would make an equivilent.

I was going to paint it a copper/metallic/burnt orange. Not sure what it is called....but it is a sharp color that would go well with your tan interior.....and it would really stand out.

    Just my opinion.

Green would look nice with a tan interior. They compliment each other quite well. Another color that might go well with a tan interior is Bronze. Sorry, the picture quailty isn't all that good.

Dan; I like the dark green, either with or without the metallic. That car has a beautifull interior, and the green would set it off well.

I would keep it the original color myself, let us know what you decide.

I think the burnt orange or metallic orange/rust would work with the
    tan interior.
Gold like the Boss would look good as well. Metallic green is over done
    IMO.

Gold would look similar to this:
