Post Character Limit Reached

This thread is in refernece to the VIN Thread I have been updating.

I decided I was going to try to add links to each member's profile where their names are listed by their VIN. I have been "editing" my last post in the thread to make these changes, saving incrementally as I go. I got up to 1973's and now when I try to save, it says to decrease my character to 25,000, as I have over 30,000. Is there anyway around this, or do I have to start making an excel spreadsheet and attach a pdf of it everytime I add VINs?

Another thing I noticed is the lines of spacing between years in my list. I have tried to keep 4 lines in between sets of VINs. Each time I edit the post and save it, the spacing grows by a few lines in between each set.

The VIN list is growing considerably now that it has become a sticky. I have already had to remove most of the icons that Jeff.S had made for "RIP", "Junkyard" etc, because they each counted as an image and I hit the limit there too.

Any suggestions?

 

What about linking the vin page out to another server? Id give you a page if you wanted it on my site, though my serer is in my house so my bandwith isnt great. Maybe a google site?

Luckily, I was saving the edits as I went, so I only lost a little bit of work. I will continue-on when I get some more time.
