In the process of swapping a 74 Mav front end to my 70 Mav front end. The power steering bracket lines up on the 70 just fine, the holes are all in place for it to go in, but there are no nut plates for the two bottom bolts. Where can I purchase the nut plates that go into the frame to tighten the bracket? Thank you
Melvin's Classic Ford Parts also sells the crush nuts that fit into the recessed octagon shaped holes.
So the power steering cylinder arm leaks like a sieve, I have found 2 replacements. The first is a "Rare Parts" brand p/n 58125 for $352. The second is a "Cardone" (re-manufactured) brand p/n 29-6741 for $153. Has anybody had experience with either? Thank you
Are you talking the ram or the control valve? I rebuilt both myself. Parts for both were around $75. I have not tested them yet, so hopefully I did a good job. I believe there are instructions on this site. I had this guy rebuild my box. Slow as hell to get it done but I think he had some family issues. He sells the parts too. http://www.stangerssite.com/partsindex.html Micah
Rode's Restorations in Gallion, Ohio (Google it) rebuilds (and improves)all power steering components, is fair in price, and a quick turnaround.
