hi guys, just wondering where i can get the power steering hoses that go from the control valve to the ram... they are 2 small hoses... also where to get the 2 hoses that run up to that hose holder that attaches by the drivers side motor mount. this is for my 74 comet. i am almost done changing the front suspension and i want to get my steering in order also.
Advanced auto sells them. I bought both mine from there. Their computers are WRONG and they dont have the ability to make changes at the stores so they wont show they can get the part for a 71mav/comet. I think I had to look it up as a 74 or 77 either mav, granada or mustang, I cant remember which. Either way they have photos of the part they can show you on screen once they find a car that has them. I got mine next day, and at half the price of online mustang stores.
Pwr Str Hoses Try AutoKrafters also. I have a catalog w/ most - if not all of the hoses used on these cars. Advanced Auto to me is pretty much a joke as far as old cars go. All I go there for now is wax, oil, antifreeze and the like. That has been my experience w/ them.
the AZ server is down right now so I can't give you PNs but if you just go ask them,. they will have pics and you can tell them which you want
well, i have the front end almost done, just have the power steering stuff to do. have the piston on the bench, ready to rebuild, im ordering a rebuild kit for my control valve. the coil springs were killing me until i saw the picture on how other people did it thanks guys. i figured if i have it all apart might as well get it all rebuilt. that will give me a complete new suspension on my comet. have to weld up my shock towers, trimmed them in so i have more space in the compartment. also changing from a z bar shift arm to a lokar shifter cable. ill have to fab up a bracket but that will be easier, and take up less space.
here ya go. you need 2 of them P/N 70640 http://www.autozone.com/autozone/ca...archText=powersteeringhoses&_requestid=427734
