Power steering to the left side

    Hello everybody!

    I have a 1974 Maverick 4-door, 250 engine, C4 trans, just rebuilt and OK (thanks to all the posts readed here)(y), but I have an issue with the power steering, only works to the left side, to the right side, nothing.

    Thanks in advance to anybody could help me.:)

    The steering servo is most likely out. The piece the hoses go to on the center link.

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    My Comet had weak assist in one direction and preload on valve was badly misadjusted(adjustment under end cap)... Also if one of the spool valves is sticking inside the valve that can cause loss of assist in one direction...

    Likely if the assist cylinder was the issue both directions would be affected...

    Sorry for the long delay, but the solution was rebuild the control valve, because the cushions inside the valve were broken, and that causes power steering working only to one side (see picture below).
