I sold my other two cars and the landlord says I can't work here anyway, so I took it to the shop a mile away. This guy wants $450 to remove the tranny, install new seals (ALL of them,) the drive shaft bushing in the tail and a new rear mount, and reinstall. I think it's a good deal, what do you think?

Sounds expensive to me just for seals. Probably less than $50 in parts.

I'd check with a couple of other places in your area to compare the prices.:)

Is he replacing just the front and rear seals or just the external seals (front, rear, shaft (2) and thedipstick) or is he going to replace all the rubber and metal seals in the transmission?
If it is just the front and rear seals then he is charging a lot for doing that.
