OK all of the glass is out, interior stripped, some body work started and a little bit of welding done on the shock towers to strengthen and smooth them out. Found some pin hole rust in both floor pans but talk about thin. Trunk is solid with the exception of the passenger side rear quarter on the inside flat surface of the trunk(the little pocket area that everything get put) didn't touch the outer sheet metal though. More work to do.

    Man, that brings back memories.
    Good luck with it.

Does anyone know why these cars tend to rust in the bottom right
of his picture #1 in that post? Every car that I have ever looked at
well has some sort of bubbling at that point. It's just above the back
of the driver's side shock tower.

If you reach up inside your front fender......you will find that the apron sticks out like a little shelf to catch and collect debris. Also....two pieces of metal is sandwiched together right there....and that causes rust as well.

My Grabber is one of the few that I have seen that is NOT rusted there. Of course, the cowl was rotten and so were the floorboards and trunk floor. :( The 77 is rusted there pretty bad on both fenders.
