well after not working on the mav for like a week i finally go to it yesterday 1)installed new gas tank:bananaman 2)installed seat rails 3)installed the driver's seat i thought i could just bolt in the tempos seat rails but i was wrong but they bolted in after grinding off some of the leg things on the rails and drilling a new hole and 2 new holes in the mav now the next thing to do is to remove a piece of the catalic bulge and weld in a new piece of sheet metal there is one problem though with using tempo seats-not enough rear legroom but i wont be in the back:evilsmile will post pics later-my camera wont focus right without alot of sunshine
I bought a set of pretty decent blue escort seats ( loback with head rests) , (the Ford built Escort) not the Mazda Built one Haven't had time to try the fit, They look alot like those Tempo seats but they were $25 for both so.... Hey I've lost more than that on slots before, this is gamble I was willing to try, they're in my basement waiting ,
more pics this is the piece that had to be grinded off this is the hole that had to be drilled this is a pic of the rails and i dont know how this pic got in here
