Projector headlights.

Check out what I scored from PULL A PART!!! I have actually had these for awhile but have just decided to write about them. They came from a mazda millenia S, and take a regular bulb. I want to a set of those plastic/composite diamond cut headlights Advance auto used to carry, and mold these kinda reccessed in them. Using full H.I.D. bulbs and modules. what yall think?:16suspect

I love HID. Have them in my 300m special. Just like daylight. Gotta be a factory lamp though so it has the light beam cut off point.(definite line where the beam stops) The aftermarket kits dont have the right reflectors and blind the poor bastard coming at you.
You've probably seen what I'm talking about when you pull the cars into your bay. The beam just stops at a certain height.
Thats a great idea. Been thinking about lighting for the Mav since sealed beams SUCK.

 

That pic is funny. Looks just like my bench at work. Empty EGR boxes and other assorted Mopar failures. Not many empty boxes lately though. Not many parts to be had. Back orders .......

Do you have lots of EGR valves fail down there?? Up here we do them every time the weather takes a big change. We do so many we bust em open and take the copper coils out. Last trip was 30 pounds of Copper from 2 guys.

 

egr valves? all the time!!! escpecially on caravans and anything with a 4.7L never busted one open though! have to keep that in mind, no telling how much cash ive thrown away:16suspect

I have those. I love 'em. Big difference. Had to lose those blue bulbs, though...

 

what was wrong with the bulbs?

 

Nothin'. Just don't like blue headlights. I switched the bulbs out for white ones.

Well, I admit, on a blue car I might have kept them.

I just had a headlight go out. Are these a direct bolt-in replacement ? Available new aftermarket ?

 

these halogens are cool, but at $175 kinda expensive
