I just couldn't stand it...temperatures had dropped and I had to take it for a run before it goes in the shop tomorrow. Even with the probs with the clutches and stall she managed a personal best for me.
This link will automatically download the pass to your computer...you will need quicktime or real player to view it. It's an 8 mb file...nothing fancy..no wheelstand...not racing against another car...just the car and the clock. ftp://riporter:harris@infoave.net/100_1586.MOV
Well the car went into the 5th round last weekend before losing to the same rail car I lost to a few weeks ago. It ran 6.00 with a 4 on a 6.00 dial in and the rail car ran a 4.76 with a 3 on a 4.76 dial. I was out of town so David was running the car hence no new timeslip. He put a spare glide and converter in it cuz mine's being repaired. I'll be running it tonite....her's a link to a pic at the track...this is the most air you will ever see this car get. http://www.lowcountrydragway.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page67.html BTW the rail car in the pic above mine is the bastid that gives us fits.
Put it back on the trailer early Sat. night. Ran a 6.07 and a 6.08 in qualifying...60's were a little off..... so I dialed a 6.06 for the first round and broke out with a 6.033 with the same 1.32-60 ...so I buy back in...I'm thinkin I won't make that mistake again and dial a 6.01 and proceed to rip off another 6.033 and lose by a hundreth I am managing to get the hang of the transbrake...RT's were .568...527....517 and a .509...now I gotta figure out how to chase the car. This bracket racing aint easy on a rookie when your competition is running dead on.
'Sounds like you're getting there and going to be a force to be reckoned with in no time! (and, ooooooooooh, that 5 is Sooooooooo close!)
